Clive Halford’s journey into rail has been a long, but incredible one. Clive is an ex-convict, who transformed his life through the training course.

He was tired of jail and wanted a better life for his children. He feels the course gave him confidence and put him back on the right side of the track!

His trainers would describe him as the hardest worker in the room, eager to learn, punctual, always the last to leave, dedicated and was consistently in high spirits. Clive passed all his assessments and tests with flying colours. 

Through the help of so many people believing in him and support from NIS, Clive managed to get his first shift as a Trackman Operative after just one week of passing the rail training course.
