MP Stuart Anderson (Centre) with Davie Carns (MD NIS), Dominique Williams (Director of RUOE (Reach And Unite Outreach And Empowerment (CIC)) and a pile of presents at National Infastructure Solutions in Wolverhampton.

National Infrastructure Solutions (NIS), which provides specialist training for people looking to get into the rail sector, has adopted the role of a modern-day Santa Claus by collecting more than 100 brand new or mint condition gifts to give out to families who are struggling this Christmas.

Davie Carns, Managing Director at NIS, commented: "I wanted to do something that could make a positive impact on the local community this festive season and have been thrilled by the response the drive has received. Thanks must go to Wayne Brigden (Amey Rail) and Nick Baker (Diversity Chiropractic Clinic), whose contributions have been key to the success of the event, which has also been championed by Stuart Anderson MP."

Dominique Williams, Director of Reach and Unite, will be distributing some of the toys. She added her support: "NIS has already supported our Christmas Food Parcel with a generous donation event and being able to add toys to our family packages will put smiles on the faces of children who otherwise would not have revived a gift. NIS really has supported the local community who need a helping hand."

National Infrastructure Solutions (NIS) was launched by former youth international footballer and Royal Marine Commando Davie Carns in 2018 and is looking to support hundreds of local workers to retrain and upskill in order to meet a ‘once in a generation’ opportunity for the West Midlands. NIS is already working with huge industry employers, such as Rhomberg Sersa and Amey Rail, to develop industry-specific courses to maximise the benefit to learners.
